yesterday i had loads of fun with tiong and bao =D
we studied tgt, had dinner tgt, and watched tv tgt
but bao was bad
she made the food cold

bt nvm..she was talking to some friend downstairs

if bojun and daniel were here, it would be a complete 'family' gathering!
we watched Passion of The Christ at ard 11pm
and it was so heart wrenching
i guess no one else could have survived that kind of torture if not for the strength that God gave Jesus to do his will

today morning, me and tiong wei woke up first
as usual, bao cont' slping
infact, we wanted to leave her at home until she woke up on her own and found herself all alone!
ahah
but then she woke up anyways
cuz we were kinda noisy
lols!

it was teacher's day celebrations
and i got this lovely card from the P5 and 6's
u know
my family were talking about the cards..
and jolyn's one was all repeated sentences of "Happy Teacher's Day!"
so mum said they should all write once, and then put all their names behind
but if that was the case, then there would be no fun in reading the cards!
it exactly the very reason that they are so innocent and simple mindned that makes their cards cute!
i so love my card

today had KB training
sarah and char went to run the nike 10k race
so sarah cldnt teach us
daph took over instead
we learnt this new song
that was pretty hard for me to get it
i realised there's more to KB then just notes
its about listening to the melodies and being able to adapt to diff songs
tough.
but i'll press on =D

i didnt do much work today
much to my dismay
was hoping to finish maths revision package at least half of it

anyways
tml i'm gna go onboard the SINGAPORE FLYER
with my mum and sis

we're planning to catch the night ride, to marvel at spore night scenary from atop
i'm gna get loads of battery for my camera and my handphone
i'm so gna snap tons of pics
it would have been better if he could be with us on board the ride tml though..

so that means i gna have to wake up early to do my work

teacher's day

today is quite a short post

teacher day celebration
mr luke lau was the highlight
he sang another chem song
lol!
and i took a video of it

he's talented i guess

well
ms ann koh and another male techer sang a christian song today in sch as well
and it was somewhat of a shock to me
they sang Friends by Michael Will Smith

mr gohel and miss wong were so disturbed today
the students loved to tease them
during the teachers walk to the stage
some students raised placards that wrote "Mr Gohel" on one side, and Marry her on the other
it was so hilarious

went back to ngee ann with the everfun x-4R1 ppl
haha
collected our grad certs

played some soccer with the boys later on
i think i too long nvr play with them
the gelling abit gone
and i havent touched a ball for almost 2 months
oh well
at least i scored 2 goals
despite spending quite a lot of time as a goal keeper

passed chem test FINALLY

today i have a good news and a bad news
the bad news is really bad

The Good News:
I finally passed my first chem test
hahahah
I was kinda happy that i achieved my short term goal of passing at least one test
yes. thats how pathetic it is
but I wanna thank God for answering my prayers
woots
now i'm gna aim higher
next chem test in 2 weeks time
=D
hopefully this is the stepping stone to higher marks
don't give up joel!

I failed my econs test
horribly.

today is sunday!
church!

yesterday tiong came over to stay
we had some fun watching soccer
which was disappointing as aston villa went down 3-2 to stoke city
while liverpool unfortunately beat middlesbrough 2-1 by luck

church today was fun
at least at agape
aunty yeepeng led the children's worship
and i sat in
i always liked the idea of going back to help out at agape when i grow older
and also capture the wonderful memories i had as a child nt too long ago
i must say everything's changed
the kind of worship songs etc
last time i rmb aunty veron would teach us new songs that i still vividly rmb
such as "Be Like A Tree" and "Doctor Jesus"
i rmb we still used the old kind of OHP back then!
now its using computer..keyboard..music players..
and they dont sing alot of old traditional children worship songs
but it was fun
just watching the kids roam around
like how i probably used to when i was their age
you know..walking ard..chattering..playing..and best of all, getting scolded.
ahah
those times..

today the kids had a lesson on patience based on the movie FINDING NEMO
nice nice
haha

poiema we learnt abt knowing that Jesus has faith in us, even if we ahve no faith in ourselves
so we shd always rmb that He is watching over us, catching us each time we fall

played tennis soccer with tiong wei, charmaine and iris after that
used a tennis ball

Beijing Olympics 2008 has closed already
nice 2 weeks of non stop sporting action
the closing ceremony wasnt as glamourous as the opening
but the part on London 2012 was certainly interesting
cant wait for 2012
but firstly, lets be focused on two things.
1) Youth Olympics 2010, Singapore (I'm hoping hard that since i be enlisted in that year, i be allowed to actually go and maintain security there. It's so cool, to be in the thick of the action. woo!~)
2) 2010 South Africa World Cup (Hopefully I'm enlisted after June. So I can spend my June watching World Cup at Jimson or Bao's hse)

no cell today
so i'm home early
was already at uncle steven's hse
ahah

i thought the SMU talk would end at 6
but it ended at 5 instead
so i was kinda early
met uncle daniel AG unexpectedly at RAFFLES CITY
chatted with the grandpa of our church for awhile
before leaving for tampines

as usual
watched cartoons with Ben
ahah
i was kinda stunned
when he said
"this show episode is boring..i watched it already"
wow
when do you often hear that someone has already trawled through the massive amount of media content on Starhub cable
and at the same time telling you that this CERTAIN episode is boring
thats kind of scary

went home to watch Li Jia Wei take on Guo Yuo of china in the bronze match
which started with guo yue taking the first two sets
then jia wei came back quite well to make it 2-2
and for a moment
i thought singapore had hope
then she lost the next 2 sets
with guo yue turning on the style

in school today
li jia wei played against world #1 zhang yining
my class was having chem lessons
and we cldnt watch it in the canteen
thankfully
we have internet!

on my way home from uncle steven's hse
i was on bus 3
an elderly uncle and his grand daughter boarded the bus
it was crowded
i was sitted
with earphones stuck right in my ears

i saw the uncle board
and offered my seat
but he refused
so i decided to continue sitting
at the next stop
the guy next to me left his seat and alighted
i gesterured to the old uncle to sit down
and his grand daughter was super thoughtful
and also pestered her grandpa to sit down
but being a grandpa
he wanted the grand daughter to sit instead
seeing how there was going to be no end between a grandpa and a grand daughter who showed abundance of care for each other
and seeing how the grandpa was struggling to hold on tight
i decided to let them both sit
by offering my seat
but the main focus here is nt on me
i was rather, amazed by the thoughtfullness of this young girl no older then 5 yrs old
she even pointed out to her grandpa the sign that said "reserved for elderly"
and wanted her own grandpa to sit instead
my my...such a young girl doing something like this
i was kinda touched
then i pondered to myself
10 20 years down the road
i might just be a father myself
will my children be like this young girl?
oozing care for her elders
but oh well
its still too early to be wondering about all these

wished i didnt have to take the mc for PE

consulted vina over several questions
ploughed through the tutorial at home

watched this real nice show today
i dunno
but this channel 8 new drama at 7pm seems to be very interesting to me

the storyline make the actors seemingly 'cute' because its all so funny how love can be so coincidental

and i think the choice of actors and actress made the show quite interesting
i wouldnt say singapore shows are nice
but this series in my opinion has been quite an improvement

day of rest yet again

yea..its me again

today i had a good sleep in
woke up at a comfortable time of 8.30am
and realised i shd be going to the doc soon
slacked ard, read some papers
before actually leaving the hse to see the doc

it wasnt a long wait
and all i wanted was for the doctor to give me less drowsy medicine
its scary how drowsy medicine can knock one out easily
=S

had breakfast alone at the coffeeshop after that
looking at the early crowd that had gathered at the coffeeshop for bfast
how i miss those times when we would go down for breakfast every morning cuz sch starts int eh afternoon
the joy of a primary sch kid.
though its different now..
times have changed
they go to sch in the morning

decided to pop down to white sands after my breakfast
ahah
it wasnt to shop
it was to cut my hair
its getting longer
and messier
so i decided to finally go and get one

heard this nice song on the radio at the hair cutting shop

gna get the doctor to give me some non-drowsy medince
cuz if i go to sch with that drowsy medcine

woke up and watched the last part of phelps winning the 100m butterfly finals by 0.01 seconds
close
and of cuz
its another WR for him

yet another OR broken in althetics
some female runner from euthopia broke the OR for 10,000 m run, finishing the gruelling 30 laps in 29 mins

and Usain Bolt of Jamica rewrote the OR books for 100m dash
as he wins comfortably by 0.2 seconds to shave another 0.03 seconds off his previous WR
he ran the 100m in 9.69seconds
amazingly, his main rival Tyson Gay never qualified
and 6 of the 8 runners in the finals clocked below 10 seconds
wow

losing 3-2 to a fiesty belgium side

It's been exactly a year since you left us.
I never forget the words you told us before you left.

The past year has been nothing less then tiring.
The november holiday to America was a chance for us all to start afresh
but it was also the start of a difficult period

This difficult period was made less tough and painful as friends came alongside us
Not only keeping us in their thoughts and prayers
But also remembering you
I really don't know where we'll be if not for these friends, and definitely God played a major role.

Yet, despite the tiredness
I thank God that He has taken care of us
and helped us along the way

Maybe as time passes
the pain will soften as the years go by
but the memories, they'll always be close to us

from this year on
i'll write a rememberance letter to you
every 15 of August

today had the maths tesst
seem quite ok
and once again, i'm crossing my fingers i pass

my first response: this charades is in CHINESE??

my second response: ok..i die.

charades in english is actually hard enough for me at times..cuz i'm nt good at acting or potraying a certain action
in chinese?
i freak out when i see words i dont know
was tempted to ask if dicitonaries were allowed!
lols!

as the game went on
true enuff
i couldnt guess many actions
cuz our group so suay..all the 4 words come out
and i din evne noe them
how to guess

so i just stone there
and wait for easy ones
which were one in a million

the first game was to pass the action down the telephone line
something like passing the message down a telephone game
just that no talking allowed

man..
we had some funny moments
like the merlion somehow became a mermaid
lols

we had to play a tiebreaker with the phobos team cuz we were tied with them and only 3 teams could progress
miranda's other team had already made it thru, and if we gt thru too, we would guarantee a majority position in the top 3
our tie breaker - guess the word SEAWEED in chinese
and this was my first answer i gave

after like so long
when everyone else tried to guess
i think it's important to think simply when you dont know anything else about chinese
ahah

then..in the finals
we had to snatch callisto question
and the question was "蘑 something..and everyone else was thinking of some wierd words
then i told jia hui

and she laugh
then hui xin go say to the game in charge
and it really was mo gu

we really wnated to get over and done with it and consolidate first place

filling up my life for the moment

hello..

well
been busy with work and stuff that i hardly ever get time to chat with friends
even though i'm online
it feels kinda boring
how work can be so monotonous
thankfully there's smth called music

and oh...
i'm gna remind bao over here
rmb to photocopy the ai mei musical scores ar
haha =D

man..
tml is vectors test
and i dont wanna fail again
so i spent my time practising more and more vectors
only to find out 1 thing
the more i prac
the more i'm in trouble
cuz it gets to a point where i just seem to freak out
and end up nt able to do them
i'm gna have to go sch early tml to ask daniel for some help
so much for 5 hrs on vectors

as a result of that unwise 5 hrs
i spent the next 3 hrs doing chem homework
oh man
and i'm still not done
it isnt exactly due tml
its due on fri
but considering the hectic timetable i have tml..
with sch ending at 5.05
and Funfestique starting at 5.20 to "who knows what time it'll end"
and tml have to study for chem SPA skill D..
i wonder if i'll have time to finish nt just the remainder of chem..bt also other homework given tml
looks like it'll be yet another lonely,quiet buildup to that very day
i'm wondering if the emotions will actually overcome me..

today i was kinda stunned to see my name on the bulletin
i was actually on duty at Agape

i didnt read the lesson outlines

thankfully auntie gwen didnt get me to say much things

last few understudies with auntie sook ping, i had to lead the boys in some discussion
today was pretty relaxed

the lesson for today was about teamwork based on the movie Ratatouiie? (wateva the spelling is)
the kids had a game of spiderweb
and boy, it was real interesting to see how kids work
then look back at my once beautiful childhood
picturing myself there
what would i do in that situation?
i guess there's not much of a difference between the kids of my time and the kids of today
probably we're a little more obedient

National Day celebrations.
my class learning journey was to have breakfast at bugis

we had Ya Kun Kaya Toast
met vina,monica,xiaoxian,yanhua,jasmine and jeremiah in the morning at pasir ris

we wanted to go eat tau huey at first

woke up late today
was supp to go running with sarah at 8
but i only boarded the bus at 8!!!
stupid alarm.
nevertheless
i was there
and we started running

i think i seriously owe sarah an apology
sorry i didnt run finish the 5km with you
thought i could..but i think i am only 90% recovered
and yea..my stomach cldnt take the run after a few months of nt running
so yea
but you did well though

decided to not have bfast with sarah and auntie gwen
i was like running late
and i din want to be later then daniel
cuz the 5 of us had arranged to meet at 10am
and it was already 9 plus when i was at macdonalds..

nvr the less
i was still late
the goodnews is
i was earlier then tiong wei
only bao was there

after a hour of chilling out
we went to Sakura at Singapore Science Centre
for bo jun bdae party
tiong wei bro had helped book a table for us
and his hospitality was certainly commendable
=)

had lots of food
but i told myself to nt eat so much
cuz i din want my stomach to start being angry with me agian
ahaha

then i had so much fun making a ICE CREAM cake for bo jun
it was seriously looking good

we hang out awhile at the kinetic garden
learning physics
esp fascinated by the sound dish

we spent some time splashing water at each other (actually only me and bao)

before leaving for home
and there's a last part to this busy day

went to Godpa and Godma hse for NDP celebrations
felt i din have any interest in this yr NDP
so i played XBox with rueben
haha

so i guess that's abt it

but no gastric pain showed
so i guess its good

i failed my chem test again
and i failed my chem SPA skill D

and what was the comments the teacher who marked left behind for me this time?
"Its not worth losing marks over phrasing"
stunned.
so i'm now wondering
is it my concept is there but i nvr phrase according to answer key?
or my concept weak and i nvr phrase accordingly
if my concept is there but phrasing wrong
then i dont think its a cause of worry
cuz i believe its just the strict standards at meridian
like i said b4..
wats the diff if i use hence instead of thus
the meaning is still there
bt i can get it wrong if i swop even these words
