hello!havent been blogginahahwelllots have happenedlots lots lotsMagnified 2008 was kinda of a success in my opinionespecially when the ambience is nicely set =)well, i heard that many didnt noe the songs in the song dedication list. so my apologies for it, if we have this again next year, i'll try to keep the song list as familiar to as many people as possible. =)but i thought the music and the lightings were awesomehaha=Dheard that the pictures are 1GB big! so i'm gna have to find some way to obtain it from daphne=Sthen there was Christmas lunch with my family on christmas itself!my aunt brought me,my mum, my sis, and my grandparents to Aston Prime for lunchwell, it was nice!the first pic is the chocolates my aunt gave usits from Royceoh man! the other box i have at home, the chocs simply melt in ur mouthi think i'm addicted to this brand of chocs alri wish to try their bitter chocs soon, if they have =Dthe second pic is the soup we had!we orignally thought the soup portion was half that size..but it turned out to be super bigbut the nice thing was that the soup was made from fresh mushroomsthere were a variety of mushrooms in there, all freshly brewedit was awesome, although it would be nicer if the soup was creamierthe third pic is the seafood linguineokay. i tried a little only cuz it was seafoodi had one scallopand the juice just squirts out in ur mouth when u pierce the scallops with ur teethawesome tastescallops cooked just the way it shd be =)the fourth pic is the New York Beef Stripits not too bad, something different to tryits not everyday that I get to eat steakso yeathe fifth pic is the ribeye, which my grandfather hadboy, he sure loved ithahahe loved it so much he was past caring our adviceu see, there was this big thick layer of fats attached to it, and he asked me to eat iti told him "nono! this thing is not to be eaten. throw it away grandpa"and he looked at me, took the piece of fats, and pushed it in his mouth saying "very fragrant. nice"what can i say? he ate that whole piece.the sixth pic is the citrus garden chickeni didnt try alot of it cuz the steak was kinda fillingso i have no idea how it taste likethe last pic is the seafood platteri had just one fish fingerits not too bad =)
overall, the christmas lunch was fabulous!hahanow, the next major meal with my family? This week's premier league action left me dumbfounded.Yes, dumbfounded.Arsenal - Middlesbrough was the early match kick off. Caught the match live, and was not at all impressed by Arsenal young gunsAdebayor's early goal was not very mouth watering, and Middlesbrough were let down by slack defending in the corner which resulted in Arsenal's first goal.Then came Arsenal defence to be caught sleeping, and Tuncay's superb cross was met by Arsenal's former schoolboy Aliadiere's glancing header. Then, it ended 1-1 after full time. Then, it seemed to me that Arsenal were going to definitely fall out of the top 4 by the time Aston Villa win, becuase there was no question as to whether they would beat bolton.Then came a series of matches, and I caught Liverpool - HullHull have been phenomenal this season, and looking at Liverpool's poor home form of late, where they have drawn to weaker oppositions in the past few games, led me to believe Hull were going to get something here todayWell, they surprised me though with their quick dominance, as Hull stormed 2-0 ahead by the 22 minuteMcShane's 12 minute header was nice. Sensational in fact.And Carragher 22 minute own-goal was quite what Hull deserved considering how Mendy of Hull made Dossena of Liverpool look stupidIt made Carragher even more stupid because with the ball fully covered by him, He seemed to lose his first touch and turned the ball into his own empty netThat made me smile, but Gerrard's 2 goals in 10 minutes drew the game level, and made me sitting at the edge of my seat, hopping for Hull to hold on tightThey did, and it was the second draw for a Big 4 teamArsenal and Liverpool were heldAt the same time, Aston Villa were having a ball of a time at Villa ParkAgbonlahor and Young are the reason for Villa's fourth spot going into the Festive SeasonAnd they thoroughly deserve itYoung has definietly caught my eye, and should start for England ahead of Joe Cole, Stewart Downing or any other left wingersHe and Walcott should be England's futureThe assist he offered, and the goal he scored which Agbonlahor so nicely laid off for him, is my goal of the weekAs a die-hard Manchester United fan, i'm wondering what would it be like if he is in our line up. hellojust 2 days ago, i encountered an incident at Swenson's Tampines Mall Branch which kinda made us pissed with the service. It would be forgivable if crowded. But there was so little customers i could count them all in one hand,i was downright explicit with my request, but they just couldnt get ithere's what happened..Mum: Lets order the free ice cream we're entitle to by Great EasternMe and Sis: okayys (:After awhile...Me: I'm drinking my water real fast man..thirsty waiting for ice creamAfter awhile more..the ice cream arrivesThe waitress lights up our ice cream as it is the Firehouse Ice Cream, and it involves lighting a candle in the middle of the ice cream. Me, my mum and my sis saw that the candle was placed wrongly, but we wanted to see if the waitress was observant enough. The waitress started trying to use the lighter to light up the plastic part of the candle, which is also the base of the candle, the part that should go into the ice cream. And the part that should be lighted, which is the wick, was inside the ice cream. For almost 10 seconds, the waitress was doing that until the plastic glowed bright orange. That's when we couldnt take it, and we told her thisMum: Excuse me, what you doing? thats the bottom of the candle you lightingWaitress: Oh..I'm so sorry, I'll get another candle for youMum: Its okay, we don't need oneWaitress: Oh okay, I'm sorryThoughts: Okay. At least she apologised. The next incident is going to make me vomit blood.Me: There's literally no more water and my cup is already at the edge of the table..hmm..but this waiter seems to keep staring at my cup, and walk to the refil station, and walk off without refilling..something's wrong with him..let me try one more timeThe waiter does the same thing, ignore. Werent they supposed to be iniative? Nevermind..let me do the ultimate. I turned my glass over with the bottom on the top now. This should let him know I'm out of water. Well, so I thought. The waiter did the smae thing agian. This time, he stared harder. Nice, I even caught hold off his name. If I was nasty, I would have written his name in the feedback form. yea.Finally they realised that it was out of water after almost 20 minuteds of ignoring. And I felt like ignoring them by leaving my cup faced down. I wondered if they would still pour the water even if the cup was face down. Doubt they would notice it anywayWe couldnt take it anymore, so we wrote the incident in a feedback form. And the two of them, waiter and waitress, kept pacing in front of us now to see what we were writing. I guess they finally woke up =XI guess service is indeed important in any service sectors. And with Singapore pushing to be the best in everything, and with events such as YOG coming up, I guess these are the things we still need to work on. hellos!yesterday was mad day mantotally spotsloland i'm now aching =Xyesterday was Standard Chartered Marathonme and bomber ran in 10K marathonokay..it started in a really funny waywe were kind of lost..didnt noe when the race start etc..so we just follow the crowdinto a midst of runnersand it felt wierdcuz there werent many guyshmmthen the Deejay said it was the women raceand with him was ESPN StarSports Liveme and tiong were standing at the sidesand he spotted usand he pointed at usand yes.i was on teevee again.-.-bt it was probably wierdcuz it was the women race-.-okay. it didnt help that the volunteers werent sure if the guys had set off already=Sanywayi had gastrics (Yes, again =S) at the 5-6KM marktotally hurtasked medics for antacid pillsthey didnt have anyso i drank alot of waterhoping to dilute the acidthen i walked for ard 1.5 to 2km, until the F1 pit stops..and ran the last final stretchmy final time after the medic stop was 1 hr 19 minsnt as good, but considering the 2km walk, i think it shd have been thereabout my targeted time had i been able to run that 2 kmso i guess i didnt do too badly eitherthen went home, and well welldidnt go church for caroling prac in the end=Smum brought me and sis to Singapore Recreational Club in the eveningthank you auntie charlotte for letting us use the facilities there =)we swam and used the jacuzzi for ard 30 minsbefore popping over to the hot/cold roomthat room was awesomethere was a big tub of hot water, and anotehr big tub of cold watereveryone in there would be in the same big tubso it goes like thisyou have to first soak in the hot water for ard 10 to 20 mins? (no limit really)the water is ard an estimated 40 degrees?then this will help to open up all the pores on your skinit was quite shiok to sit in that poolthe hot water kind of soothed my muscle aches for that momentthen u have to soak urself in the cold pool to close the poresthe water is ard 17 degrees (saw the temperature on the thermometer)there was a sizzling kind of feeling on the skinas if gt static or smthbt it was a chilly feelme and my sis had a little battlesee who can last the longestbut then my mum really wanted us to get out cuz she felt it was too coldand my sis didnt really want toseeing the exsaperated look on my mum's facei decided to just get out and let my sis winlolsi then went into the guys toilet and heated myself up in the suanaokay. it was like..75 degrees in that roomi was alone..and i started pouring the cool water provided to wet my skin so i don't get burntthen i took a quick shower and the sporting day was overwe had dinner at the poolsidebefore leaving for hometired, i slept all the wayy homeeeeeeeeeand guess what?we met vina on the trainlols!we had actually met her earlier on at ard 5.30pm at raffles citythen we went to the recreational club while she had dinner at some restaurant with her friendnvr expected to see her again on the train at 9 plusthe funny thing was we were in the same carriage!and we only saw each other at pasir ris mrt station-.-hahas!okay..tml going to kiddyark to bring kids to woodlandskids, behave yourself and don;t make me chase after you all okay? i cant chase all of you already u see..leg pain=Xohand i found the awesome song i loved all these whileits by disneyin the album "Holiday Magic"the song title is Can You Rememberi'm thinking of using it as the theme song for Poiema's Magnified Christmas PArtyshall let fiath noe abt it and see if she likes the ideathink it would be awesomehaha!ohthe song cant be found on youtubeso don't bother finding! hahaits available only if you buy the disc from Disney Storesor if you have some other way...hahahaalritestime to gonites!
