what? chinese alvl? o.O

hello =D

right.

today was awesome

i was supposed to have bfast with my mum downstairs before she goes to work

guess what time i woke up?

11 AM!!!!

it was like..woah

u meant lunch?

LOL

and guess what woke me up?

the fact that the dream i was having was getting rather draggy and irritating

it seemed like a little maze to me at a theme park..and there was like no exit..so the whole time, i was just walking around finding the exit

quite a boring dream

lol

so went to sch to hand in my results slip and the PW OP slides

afternoon was spent playing FIFA 09

haas

signed ustari as my new goalie and also 18 year old boy wonder giovinvo from Juventus for a cool 22.8 million.

I also sold bastien schweistiger to rangers for 20 million, and pablo zableta to celtic for 12 million. and a couple of youngsters went out on loan

swissotel stay

hello!

finally we had another F.F outing

like we havent had one for ages!

it was always either one nvr come..or last minute cancel..

so the fact that all 5 were present for a period of time meant it was gna be fun

so the outing lasted for many hours

Sunday:

sent sis off at the airport

she was going to new zealand

and i saw this funny incident at the airport

there was this grp of tourist from presumbly taiwan or hong kong

they saw the luggage weight taking machine

and then..

this guy went to stand on it and took his weight!!!

then he ask his children to TRY IT OUT

omg..so hilarious

i was so tempted to take a photo and send it to STOMP

hahaha

then we had church

before me and tw left to meet bo jun at tanah merah mrt to find xiao zhu

but b4 that

i wanna thank sarah here for kindly lending ur laptop to me for PW

xie xie!

then..

me, tw and bj took the train to our outing venue

wierd as it may seem..

but our outing was going to be at Swissotel' The Stamford

it was a nice nice hotel

like..we were gna stay at the 54th storey

and here must thank xiao zhu's mum for kindly letting us all stay over!

the room was rather big

and we started snapping photos of the scenic sight singapore financial district offered

i think we were at a height taller then Singapore Flyer

yeah.

then we watched 2 movies

HairSpray and..er..wats the other?? i cant rmb =S

we also played mj and cards

hahaha

oh oh..and we played fifa 09 on laptops and subsequently GAMEBOY ADVANCE -.- which was a program installed on computers -.- but it was like er..addictive?

we then lazed ard b4 which DANIEL, the last F.F member to arrive reached the venue

woo~

we had dinner at some street cafe

it was hilarious

we went into this jap restaurant which used their special card to buy your food

and we took the cards..walked one round, and came out and told the cashier: We didnt eat anything

LOL

we all had baked rice except bj who had fried rice

will post them when bj sends me the fotos

then daniel left..

and it was left with the four of us

xiaozhu (bao), farmer (me), bomber (tw), housewife (bj)

oh..daniel is called penguin

we walked ard Raffles City

and bao bot presents for her auntie

so sweet of her

then we went back to the room and i had a little of the same problem

so bao made milo for me while bj and tw went to 'buy' sweets for me

cuz it was a little ploy to go and buy bao's bdae present and bdae cake

HAHA

she didnt noe anything abt the surprise

and so it went pretty smoothly until her wireless spoilt the fun

she was super irritated with it

and tw and bj had to wait outside the door anxiously for her to open the door and surprise her

for 1 full minute, the two of them were stuck outside the room filled with anxiety

before she opened the door and gt the surprise

hahaha

we then played games and watched movies thru the nite..till ard 2 b4 we fell asleep

Monday:

The morning air was supppperrrrrrrr freshhhhh =D

we all went out for a breathe of fresh air

and tw started going crazy over robinho hat trick

after a quick bath, we all left

i think this outing was super fun

haha

wonder when will we all go out again =(

for now, its back to OP and I&R

hey

i just watched finished an episode on OKTO Discovery

it was on

THE LOST WORLD: ATLANTIS

yup..quite cool

it talked about several theories

like how they had actually developed 21st century technology thousands of years ago

how they took submarines and aeroplanes to places like egypt and teach the 'brainless' egyptians how to build state of the art pyramids etc..

its quite an awesome show

and they concluded by saying its possible a series of floods and earthquakes wiped out the entire atlantis civilisation

the only drawback is that they have no proof to date as atlantis, despite rumoured to be bigger then asia, has no historical / geographical records

next week on The Bermuda Triangle

THANK GOD =DDD

hello!

today gt quite a pleasant news

at least it was an assurance of my ticket to JC 2

i'm so so thankful that after my relatively 3 times more hardwork as compared to mid yr, it has paid of for most of the subjects

i wasnt promoted though, but i was advanced

thanks to the difference 0.5 marks can make

the 0.5 marks was how much more i needed to get for chem in order to qualify for promotion

but i'ms till happy i'm in J2 next year!

whether its promoted or advanced

woo~

but i'll have to work doubly hard for next year

oh well..here comes the toughest part of jc life~~~

yea!

for now, its just gna be OP OP OP

and FF FF FF

after OP presentation..

we'll start our mugging modes again

till then..let me just enjoy the remaining time i have while doing OP slides

and do the things i love

sunday sch was fun today

the pri 1,2,3,4 joined classes today

thaddeus and joses were teaching

and i was sitting in as trainee

this was the first lesson i had that was sooo free and easy

haas!

nice!

today i finally understood y the kids love this two teachers so much

poiema was ok too

had KB lesson

okay...so 1 month of not practising is suicidal

and it is because i forgot the momentum and stuffs

u see..since momentum is = mass X velocity

then if the velocity of the fingers on the keyboard is zero, then momentum is zero!

lol!!

played badminton with da youths

sooo long no play

its abt time to change the strings and the grip for all my rackets

its in a baddd shappeeeee

we had 2 newcomers today and 1 rather oldcomer

he scored his first league goal for man u this season, scored 7 goals in his last 5 outings, made 2 assists last ntie, and was TOTALLY influential

who cares abt ronaldo when u have rooney???

yesterday showed us that man u w/o ronaldo can still perform

it doesnt has to be ronaldo in the limelight all the while

rooney, is in his own world

and rooney's influential play earned me 30 points in fantasy league

Grandpa Birthday..WR submission..Humour

Thursday

Second last day before WR submission

promises to be a hectic day

already the entire week have been dozing at unusal hours..

staying up till 4am on most days

it was all going to be over soon anyway

why not press on?

and well..thurs was really pressing

had to go for my grandpa bdae dinner at AquaMarine in Marina Mandarin Hotel

and there was this certain report that had to be finished up

well..we sure did rush thru everything

which uh..was real good

rushed off to meet my family at City Hall Station

I had originally booked for our dinner to start at 7pm..

but it was postphoned till..7.20pm

thankfully our reservation was still intact

well well

what can i say?

at $48+++ per person for a buffet dinner..

there must definitely be a spread of food heh

Lobsters..Oysters..Prawns..Crabs..Scallops..were among the first few on display

There was also a rich array of cakes and free flow of supposedly 'Haagen Daz' ice cream

overall..i must say it was money well spent since its my grandpa bdae

and er..Uncle Chris really knows how to eat!

i must say he prob ate $400++ of seafood..thus covering the value of our meal

he started off with lobsters..and lots lots lots seafood

i think he only ate seafood

cuz when i convert my WR into PDF format, the pics were ok, but nt very clear

the lady tot me how to convert to higher resolution

so i had to rebrun!

and i went home to burn 2 more copies

we then went out for lunch

eventful day!

guess guess what time i finished those OP slides last night?

yea yea..4.30am

and had sch at 8.45

meant i had to wake at 7pm..

which was like..

knocked out

after the PW OP dry runs, which was quite alrite

i went to meet tiong and the rest to return tiong's pencil

had lunch with them near TJC

some coffeeshop

and as expected, there were many TJCians there

OH OH

i almost forgot

on the way there

EVENT 1 occured

i was waiting to change bus at Downtown East

then i was staring at the roads infront of me half asleep

then this wierd car drove past slowly

it looked really familiar, but wierd

then i saw the words : GOOGLE

then reality struck me

GASP

the article i read yesterday about Google randomly sending out their Google Cars across Singapore to facilitate their building of a new Google Street 3D program was happening right in front of my eyes!

look..this is the car i saw...

imagine seeing me in a google program

then after the lunch..

tiong and bo went back to TJ for classes

bh and me went home

on the way home..

she talked alot about this forensic show on cable TV

sounds real interesting..hopefully can find online

at home..

EVENT 2 occured

i was preparing to go and sleep cuz i was REAL tired

then this call came

it sounded like bo jun's voice..but there was no confirmation

Its in chinese. i translated to eng

Caller: Papa..quick come save me..Papa..quick save..They kidnapped me..and will kill me..

Me: Bo Jun? Why call me papa? Is something wrong?

Caller: Papa..quick come save me..Papa..quick save..

Background: *smacks* chairs fall..angry voices

Caller: Papa..they really will kill me..save me..I'm kidnapped

Me: Bo Jun..you okay? Is that you?

Caller: Save me..Papa..

Me: *hangs up phone*

i then msg bo jun

and for 10 minutes he didnt reply

i cldnt slp

and i was really worried it was real

but i cldnt understand y he call me papa

told bh abt it

and 10 mins later..bo jun replied: I'm in sch..fine..who call you?

so i gather it was a scam..though no money was involved

but it freaking sounded real

i reallllyyyy thought it was bo jun

though come to think of it

quite retarded for bo jun to call me dad

hahaha

but its a first time i was involved in a phone scam

quite an experience

shd have taped it down

so here's the final judgement for Fifa Online 2 VS Fifa 09

Fifa Online 2 is basically an online game.

There are 2 main different modes - League (in which u play against the computer and earn LP to buy players) or in competitive modes against ppl around the globe

The league mode is not laggy, and the features of the game are of those found in Fifa 08, which makes the game Fifa Online 2 pretty old for Fifa long term users

When it comes to the online game play against ppl around the world, that's where the trouble sets in

Soccer games are always known for their superior graphics

and this is one reason why it slows down game play by so much each time

its quite retarded that the controls only move after like 1 second of lag time. By which your opponent would have moved somewhere else

Difficulty increases as you earn more LP/win more games

Graphics : 7/10

Game Play: 6/10

Thrill: 6/10

Fifa 09 has both online and offline features

it has more game modes, such as Be A Pro Seasons and Manager Mode

The online play for Fifa 09 Online is equally lag, but the reaction time of the program is a bit faster

The graphics are extraordinary, and stunning

Difficulty levels are similar to that of its predecessors - Amatuer, Semi-Pro,Pro,World Class,Legendary

Graphics: 9/10

Game Play 7/10

Thrill: 7/10

All results out. Thank God for today

hello!

today was just one of those great days

it started out well, and the school day ended of well too

praise God!

first lesson was maths tutorial

we received our certificates for Singapore Maths Olympiad (SMO) and Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC)

I received a certificate of participation for SMO

which was different from the previous years

used to at least get an honourable mention

failed to do so now..

but for the AMC

i received a certificate of distinction

i had 60 marks

according to the certificate, that placed me in the top 23% of my level in Singapore

o.O

it be great if i see that on my alvl cert nxt yr though..

next lesson was General Paper

GP..

i wasnt reallly sure abt it

especially after the test itself, i was wondering if i wrote the essay out of point

looked at my Paper 1 results

arh!!!

28/50!!

thought to myself "just 17 more marks for Paper 2 and i'll pass GP"

Paper 2 came back..

WHEE!!

29.5/50

that means i got a C grade

woohoo

Thank God!

my essay turned out quite good..although my OVs were not well defined and i forgot to include my stand -.-

bt the teacher comments wrote that the whole essay was laregly confident and fluent

so i guess that pulled up the marks

then it was maths

ok..after the exam i must admit i was really hoping to get my first A of JC life

bt it wasnt to be

missed out by a slight 2 marks

but still..

it should still get me promoted

so i'll just try harder next yr for my first A

results.

hello

gt back 4 results in the past 3 days

tml will be the last 2 papers

well well

it started out quite pleasantly for me

considering my 4U's during june common tests, i was hoping to pass most of them this time round

physics kickstarted it

finally passed it

and at the right time too

got a D grade

not exactly good though

there's definitely room for improvement

but for now, i'll celebrate passing it

in fact, our class was the most improved class for H1 physics, and also the best performing class

Next up was chinese

i was always sure i wouldnt fail this subject

and i didnt

but it wasnt exactly a nice result

gt a C grade

it was heading towards a B..when the same thing happened when i was in sec 4

in sec 4, everything was going well for my first A grade for chinese until i gt back my compos and realised i scored 2.5/20 for the letter writing and it demoted me to a B4

this time round, the teacher was reading out the marks for chinese oral and chinese listening

i was last on the list by virtue of my surname

she paused for a deadly silent long time

my heart was beating

was there an error?

teacher said:"Chinese Oral 25/30 (Which sounded real good by my standards) Listening..5/10?"

I got a biiiig shockkk

omg!

listening get 5/10??

how nice is that?

immediately my B dropped to a C

argh!

i dont usually get that low for listening..so smth must have gone horribly wrong that day

tuesday we didnt receive any papers..

today..

termed killer day

we were to receive our chem and econs papers

the two hardest and toughest for me at least

first up..econs

70% of lvl passed, 30% failed

i looked at my paper 1 Case Study - 8/30.

I thought. unless a miracle happens in paper 2, i definitely flunk it

Paper 2 came back. Essay - 19/50

Thats a fail

33.5/100 after conversion

ar...the consolation i had is i improved from my june common test marks

from 27 to 33.5

nt a great improvement..bt its still an improvement

always look at the bright side.

but i'll still have to work very hard for econs during holidays ar....

i think i'll have to force myself to seriously loveee econs before breaking the relationship with econs once my exams end

Chemistry

50% passed, 50% failed

i thought..well..its either i am very clsoe to apssing, have already passed well, or failed terribly..the number infront is either a 2, 3 or 4

my family will be celebrating my grandfather's birthday

my aunt steph has chosen a nice delightful place for us to go to

its called the AQUAMARINE at Marina Mandarin Hotel

its an international and seafood diiner buffet

its $48+++ per person

they have free flow of haagen daz ice cream and free flow of a variety of freshly made smoothies

i think i'll be having loads of ice cream

lol

usually buffet the ice cream some no brand one

but this is haagen daz

omg.

if is nice, maybe nxt yr F.F bdaes can all wait till after alvls, then celebrate all 5 birthdays at one go. then the money will be well spent

Audition madness..

today sch restarted

dunno i go sch for wat oso

after promos, sch like no meaning liao

quite hilarious to see so many ppl trying to leave sch during lunch break

like there's no one who can stop us

hahahaaha

i'm back to palying audition

tiong made an acc too

so now me, tiong and bao can paly

haha

and played cpl mode today.

gt alot of hearts

so became a couple
